You need a solution, and you need one FAST! If you’re not sure where to start, we’ve got some tips for you.

If you Haven’t had a Mold Inspection Service Come Yet

Okay, so what if you haven’t already had your home inspected for mold? If you’re concerned for any reason, it’s best to do something about it. If someone in your house has been sick with mold exposure symptoms (i.e. sneezing, itching, coughing, runny nose), it’s definitely time to check out the situation.

If you already see mold in your home, you don’t need an inspection to tell you it’s there. You could probably just skip that step. But, if you don’t see anything, you’ll need to get a house mold inspection to find out what’s going on. Mold can cause big health problems if you don’t treat it. Also, it can deter potential buyers. And, if you’re trying to sell your house, you need to do whatever you can do to make buyers happy!

Mold Inspection Services: The Process

What happens during the house mold inspection process really depends on the inspector. There are several different methods of testing for mold. You can speak with your inspector to find out exactly how they will find out if there’s mold in your home.

A swab test is one way to test for mold. This test is usually used to figure out the kind of mold that is present. But it doesn’t actually help you find out how much mold is there. A spore trap is another option. It’s a way to test the indoor air. This is how it works: the spore trap catches mold spores which are then sent to a lab for testing. The lab analyzes the spores and lets you know all about the mold. Finally, there is bulk sampling. This is a type of mold testing that takes a whole piece of household material from your home, like carpet or framing. The sample is sent to the lab for testing.

The person who completes your house mold inspection will usually check out the details of the house. They’ll find out about the humidity levels because, remember, mold loves moisture! The inspector will also take a look at the areas of concern, like places where there have been leaks and such. He or she may also need to ask about the maintenance of your HVAC system. A good inspector will ask you about any past issues with mold, too.
